- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC San Diego) intends to modify Contract N66001-05-D-0048 with R S Microwave of Butler, NJ. This contract includes 16 firm-fixed priced CLINs for unique electronic devices consisting of diplexers, multiplexers and filters and a cost-plus fixed-fee CLIN for engineering research and development services. SSC San Diego intends to increase the maximum quantity for 5 of the firm-fixed priced CLINs for filters as follows: CLIN 0002: increase quantity from 10 to 20; CLIN 0003: increase quantity from 10 to 20; CLIN 0005: increase quantity from 50 to 100; CLIN 0007: increase quantity from 30 to 150; and CLIN 0009: increase quantity from 30 to 50. This contract was awarded using other than full and open competition pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). R S Microwave is the only known manufacturer of these items and has gained specialized knowledge and manufacturing experience the value of which would not be recovered through competition. This is not a request for proposal. Numbered Note 22 applies.
