Description

NOTE :THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This notice is to inform you that the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award a sole-source contract, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and using FAR Part 12 commercial procedures, to Jason Foundation for Education to provide supplemental curricula that incorporate leading-edge technologies with real-life science explorations for use to support DoDEA?s Science Content Standards. The Jason Foundation for Education is the only source that provides comprehensive online instructional programs on the wetlands and monster storms for classroom use that is consistent with DoDEA?s science standards. DoDEA needs system-wide professional development for grade 4-6 teachers, to improve science content knowledge, teaching strategies, and quality of instructional practices that incorporate leading-edge technologies with real-life explorations. See the statement of work for full requirement. Organizations that feel they meet this requirement may submit their capabilities and qualifications statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform this requirement. All submissions must be sent to the identified point of contact in this notice and received no later that 12:00 noon Eastern Time on April 18, 2006. The capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. The determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort under full and open competition rests solely within the discretion of the Government.
