- ***THE PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING FOR 4/14/06 IS CANCELLED.*** CONTRACTING OFFICE: 811 CONSTITUTION AVE, BEDFORD, IN 47421. USDA, Forest Service, Ohio River Basin Procurement Cluster has a requirement for a contractor to provide labor, services, material and equipment necessary to perform Forest openings maintenance on the Hoosier National Forest. The government intends to award at least one Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIA) contract. The contract term will be base year plus four option years. The project is described as Wildlife Habitat Developments by bushhog, or equivalent. The objective of the project will be to maintain existing forest openings. The bushhogging consists of mowing at a height not to exceed 6? of herbaceous plants and woody material up to 3? in diameter at breast height of 4 ??. Project location: Work sites are located on both the Brownstown Ranger District and the Tell City Ranger District. Counties are Brown, Lawrence, Crawford, Dubois, Monroe, Jackson, Orange, and Perry. Estimated cost is between $15 and $150K. All work is to comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to Service wage rates. A small business set-aside solicitation will be issued. The requirement will be awarded as a Performance Based Service, fixed price contract. A multiple award contract is anticipated. Solicitation number: AG-52B1-S-06-00xx. NAICS: 115310, Size Standard: $6.5M. Performance Period: 90 days after award and issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This solicitation will be available ONLY electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/, on approximately April 17th, 2006. Copies of the specifications, drawings and wage rates will be uploaded to FEDBIZOPPS along with the solicitation document. Proposals will be due no later than 12:00 local time on May 11, 2006. A pre-proposal meeting is scheduled to be held at the Supervisor?s Office, 811 Constitution Ave, Bedford, IN 47421 at 10 am (local) on April 14, 2006.
