Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and potential technical capability of small businesses and 8(a) firms to wash, split, sieve and sort prey hard parts from Hawaiian monk seal as well as fecal and regurgitated samples collected in the NW and Main Hawaiian Islands. Remains will be sorted into prey hard part categories for identification and a sample database will be developed to record the sample number and all prey remains. The database must be able to be cross-referenced with the PIFSC Hawaiian Monk Seal population assessment database. All samples and the virtual reference collection will be sorted at the contractor?s facility. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract with the period of performance commencing approximately July 1, 2006. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541990 with a corresponding size standard of $6.0 million. An official notice of the Government?s intent to procure the above services will be posted at www.fbo.gov on or about April 20, 2006. Firms responding to this market survey should provide only focused and pertinent information. Offerors should include a description of significant collaboration and subcontracting that will be required to provide technically acceptable deliverables. Responding firms should provide two (2) copies of a capability statement to Contract Specialist, Stephanie Kyles by email at stephanie.m.kyles@noaa.gov by April 24, 2006. All questions regarding this announcement should be addressed to the Contract Specialist at 808-944-2228.
