- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking qualified sources capable of providing NIH ?Wide full service maintenance, repair, and relocation services of the following Beckman Coulter Instruments and their accessories: Low Speed Centrifuges, Ultracentrifuges, Liquid Scintillation Counters, Spectrophotometers, High pressure Liquid Chromatograph System Components (pumps, detectors, programmers/controllers, fraction collectors/auto samplers/sample injectors, printers/recorders, miscellaneous accessories, software and PF2D), robotics, Biomek 2000/3000 tools and accessories, Multimek tools and accessories, Biomek FX/NX tools and accessories, Capillary Electrophoresis, Genetic Analysis, Plate Readers and Washers, Particle Characterization and accessories, and Flow Cytometry and accessories. Full service maintenance shall consist of on-site repair as well as preventive maintenance, telephone technical support, hardware/software revisions/upgrades, and remote diagnostics via modem. The contractor shall furnish all the necessary trained personnel, special tools, diagnostic equipment and parts required to maintain the above listed instruments to original operational specifications. Concerns having the required specialized capabilities to meet the Government?s requirements are invited to give written notification (including telephone number and name for a point of contact) to the procuring office listed in this notice. Firms responding must furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirement identified above in sufficient detail to permit evaluation and consideration by the government. Responses shall include, but not limited to, evidence of the following: (1) experience and expertise of personnel as well as organizational; (2) proof in having the ability to obtain all parts necessary for maintaining the above specified instruments in a timely manner; (3) identification of previous/current contracts performed within the past three years which are germane in scope to the requirements identified herein including the name of the Governmental or commercial organization, contract/agreement number, complete name, address, and telephone number of a contact person. Responses are not to include cost or pricing information. This is not a request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the evaluation results. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation. Firms responding should indicate whether they are a socially or economically disadvantaged business firm, an 8(a) firm, a small business, and/or woman-owned business. Unless adequate sources are found capable of satisfactorily providing the required services, the NIH will negotiate a noncompetitive contract with Beckman Coulter pursuant to FAR6.302-1.
