Sources Sought Notice The purpose of this Sources Sought/Market Research is to identify potential sources capable of producing Dyneema HB25, linex coated with 144 piles or equal in accordance with the Buy American Act. This equates to NIJII protection level (7.62 X 51 Ball and AK47 Mild Steel Core). The approximate dimensions needed are 60 inches wide x 97 inches long x ? inch thick. Delivery of the panels would be to Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL. The approximate quantity of sheets would be 1010. Firms capable of sup plying this product should indicate their interest by providing the Government a brief summary of their company by contacting Ilana Bohren at bohreni@ria.army.mil. Your request should include cage code, company name, address, phone number, email address a nd a point of contact and estimated price and availability. Please respond NO LATER THAN April 21, 2006. This is a Sources Sought for planning purposes and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Governmen t. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought or otherwise pay for information solicited. The information you provide will only be utilized by TACOM Rock Island in developing its acquisition approach for future requirements.
