Description

This acquisition will be Sole Source to Imagecom, Inc. Arlington, TX. (See Government-Wide number notes 22 and 26). There is an ongoing need to improve an automated conversion software called FlexiDesign by Imagecom Inc, which is used by RDECOM-TACOM Engineering Business Gourp (EBG). The purpose of this action is to test and evaluate the feasibility of tackling old ras ter legacy data to produce useful 3D parametric compliant Pro/E models utilizing FlexiDesign semi-automatic conversion process. These system upgrades will provide significantly enhanced performance in the areas of the readiness of ground vehicles in meetin g mission critical tasks in a timely fashion. This action requires the customization of FlexiDesign software which is currently licensed for use by the EBG. Imagecom, Inc. of Arlington, Texas is the developer of the software and has sole ownership and control of the source code for the FlexiDesign sof tware. The software is used to automatically convert 2 dimensional (2D) Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings to 3 dimensional (3D) parametric models in a Pro/ENGINEER format. The goal of this contract is to utilize FlexiDesign to meet ground forces readin ess in converting raster images of HMMWV to 3D models in a timely and efficient manner. Tasks have been identified for this purpose including training, software support, licensing and maintenance.
