Description
USACE has been granted access to the Interested Vendors List (IVL) in FedBizOps. Vendors can now register for this list (http://www.fbo.gov/). After registering for this list in FedBizOps, the vendor will be able to view the IVL by going to the sy nopsis and clicking on View List of Interested Vendors. W912EK-06-B-0002  Starved Rock Lock and Dam Baseline Security Upgrade, LaSalle County, Illinois. This solicitation is 100% set a side for Small Business HubZone. The work at the Starved Rock Lock and Dam located on the Illinois Waterway includes but is not limited to the following: the removal and disposal of approximately 250 feet of existing chain-link fencing, 1,500 square feet of existing asphalt pavement, and existing doors and frames on the boiler building, along with the installation of approximately 300 feet of new chain-link fencing with extension arms and barb wire, approximately 1,240 feet of new steel guardrail, 2 electrical bar swing gates with gate op erators, controllers, and loop detectors, a new gate entry head with electrical keypad controls, intercom system, CCTV, and associated conduit and wiring, 11 concrete bollards, new doors and frames for the boiler building, concrete foundations for the guar drail and controllers, along with site restoration and seeding. The estimated magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work within the time proposed by him after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work within the time proposed in the Contractors proposal. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.
