The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) firm-fixed price construction contract for the Glory Hole Recreation Area Wastewater System Project. Reclamation has a future requirement to remove an old concrete tank at trailer dump station and install a wastewater line to lift station number 8 at Glory Hole. All work is located at the Glory Hole Recreation Area, New Melones Lake, approximately 55 miles east of Stockton, California and 15 miles northwest of Sonora on State Highway 49 in Calaveras County, California. The principal components of work are as follows: A) Wastewater upgrades: 1. Removal and disposal of an existing 7,000 gallon below grade wastewater holding tank which was used to contain waster disposal at the trailer dump station. 2. Furnish and install a gravity sewer system consisting of 6-inch diameter PVC pipe that conveys the wastewater from the trailer dump station to an existing wet well at Lift Station number 8, which then pumps all the wastewater collected at the New Melones Lake facilities to the sewage treatment lagoons. B) Concrete: 1. Furnish and install precast concrete manholes. 2. Drill/bore hole into existing wet well at Lift Station #8 to accommodate wastewater line. The value of the work is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The contract duration is contemplated for 4 months. It is anticipated that award of the work will occur in May 2006. This procurement will require 100% performance and payment bonds. Funds are currently available at the present time.
