Description

This is a notice of intent from the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division to issue a modification to an existing Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) completion contract, on an other than full and open competition basis, to Signal Systems Corporation, 877 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, Suite 210, Severna Park, MD 21146. This contract is for Research and Development (R&D) services to improve the existing signal processing technology of PMA-264 and Air ASW platforms. Signal Systems Corporation was awarded this contract under Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) N00421-03-R-0106. Complications common to the R&D process have arisen requiring an extension to complete the effort. Signal Systems Corporation has been perfoming this effort for two years, and it would be impossible to compete the remainder of the effort. Any attempt to bring another contractor up to speed would result in an unacceptable duplication of cost and time.
