- The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), International Services intends to issue a sole source award using commercial acquisition procedures for the acquisition of 150 MaxAir Premier Hood System Li-ION air purifying helmets and 75 disposal filters to Bio-Medical Devices Intl. located in Irvine, CA. The MaxAir premier hood systems have the unique feature of having the motor and filter all contained in the helmet unit which will enable users greater freedom of movement. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Numbered Note 22 applies.
