- Burnt Flats Watershed Rehabilitation Description The project consists of road decommissioning by recontouring on the Clearwater Ranger District. This work will take place on approximately 15 miles of road. Work includes drainage improvements, subgrade scarification, road recontouring, culvert removal, seeding, hand straw mulching and miscellaneous and related work. The roads to be obliterated include: 221J, 1112B, 1112B1, 1112C1, 1112C2, 1112C4, 9341, 9443, 9443A, 76254, 76254A, 76255, 76255A, 76255A1, 76255A4, 76401, 76402, 76407, 76421, 76424, 76680, 76738, 103174 Project Location From Grangeville, Idaho: follow County Road #17, Mount Idaho Grade to the junction with the Grangeville-Salmon road (Rd. #221). Follow road #221 for approximately 7.1 miles. The majority of the roads to be decommissioned are located either at various points along Road #221 or on other roads easily accessible from Road #221. The remainder of the roads to be decommisioned can be accessed by following State Highway 95 south from Grangeville approximately 2.6 miles to the junction with County Road #95, Old Whitebird Hill Road. Follow County Road #95 approximately 5.0 miles to the junction with road #1112. Road #1112 provides access to all roads being decomissioned in this area of the project. Price Range The Government?s estimate for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Tentative Solicitation Date July 3rd, 2006. Contract Completion Date September 30th, 2007
