- Western Area Power Administration (Western), Corporate Services Office (CSO) intends to award a firm fixed-price contract on a sole source basis to MRO Software, 100 Crosby Drive, Bedford, MA 01730. Authority for other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12. The requirement is for proprietary software maintenance services to provide support for Western???s maintenance management system (MAXIMO Application software and Dynamic Value List brand software). MRO Software is the originator of the Maximo software code and is the only firm capable of modifying the software. The services consist of technical support (remote diagnostic and telephone), software patches and upgrades, and access to an electronic knowledge database. The period of performance for this requirement is May 1, 2006 through April 30, 2007. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All interested parties, however, may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the Government. The statement must be received in the CSO no later than seven days after publication of this synopsis. CSO???s mailing address is 12155 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the Government???s discretion. The applicable North American Industry Classification Code System for this requirement is 511210, and the size standard for this code is $23 million.
