Description
The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command, Pacific (vpl) is seeking qualified Total Small Business Set-aside firms capable of performing haul out and repairs for the USCGC 52314 & USCG 52312 motor life boats, the CGC 52314 is stationed at Cape Disappointment & CGC 52312 is stationed Yaquina Bay. The contractor?s facility must be within 225 nautical miles of the boats assign station, (52314) Cape Disappointment, WA & (52312) New port, OR. The period of performance for the CGC 52312 will begin 06 July 2006 thru 15 August 2006. The period of performance for the CGC 52314 will follow after the completion of the 52312, the CGC 52314 will begin 17 August 2006 and ending the 28 September 2006. The availabilities will not coincide with each other once one boat is complete the other will follow. The solicitation will be issued on or about 27 April 2006. The CGC 52314 work items include but not limited to: Hull penetration removal, shaft seal replacement, propeller shaft remove and installation, DC panel installation, Main switch board installation, Gooseneck vents renew, Underwater body preservation, Renew zinc anode, Sea Trials, Haulout and underwater body work, and strut and stern tube renewal and for the 52312 to: Stuffing tube removal, stuffing tube renewal, shaft seal replacement propeller shaft isolator renewal, propeller shaft removal and installation, DC panels installation, main switchboard replacement, engine room overhead lighting replacement, navigation lights replacement, navigation lights replacement, pet cock removal, interior preservation, hull plating, underwater body preserve, partial, zinc anode renewal, haulout and underwater body work, strut and stern tube bearing renewals, rudder bearing renewal, hull plating. This will not be a multiple contract. This acquisition will be issued as a Invitation for Bid procurement. For further information concerning this acquisition, contact Dianne H.
