Description

The Government intends to negotiate a commercial item (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Philips Medical Systems, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, for maintenance and repair of Vertex-E Dual Headed Imaging Scintillation Camera and Vertex Plus Gamma Cameras located at the VA Greater Los Angeles, and VA Southern Nevada Healthcare Systems. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The Government intends to award a firm - fixed price contract for a base year, with the Government's option to exercise four (4), one (1) year option periods. The solicitation is to be issued on or about April 21, 2006, with offers due on or about May 5, 2006. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. NAICS #811219, Size Standard is $6.5 million.
