- Description
- The Government has a requirement for professional Architect/Engineering Services, to provide design for Projects 06-S-15 and 06-S-24 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home (Johnson City), TN 37684. The A/E shall provide all architectural and engineering services necessary to design a project to expand Parking Lot A, Building 160 and the Parking Lot at Building 8. Work includes preliminary and final contract drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and construction period services. Designs shall be in accordance with all applicable requirements of NFPA, National Electrical Code, Life Safety Code, OSHA, VA Specifications, VA Standard details, VA Construction Standards, AIA, ADA and applicable local, state and federal regulations. This is 100% set-aside for an SBA Certified Hub Zone Firm only. The NAICS Code is 541330 with the small business size standard of $4.0 million. The total construction cost estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Award will be to the A/E firm judged by the VA to be the best qualified for the work. The selection criteria for this A/E contract shall include as a minimum (1) Experience in the type of work required (2) professional qualifications and experience of staff to be assigned to the project (3) ability to accomplish the work within required timeframes (4) past performance as related to the quality of work, meeting schedules, and keeping within scope and budget. (See numbered note 24) Area of consideration is limited to a 150-mile radius from the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home (Johnson City), TN 37684. Award is subject to the availability of funds. This is not a request for proposal. All interested, responsible and qualified business firms shall submit three (3) copies of SF 330 to the attention of Kerwin H. Fulton (90C), James H.
