- Maintenance dredging of unclassified material in the Charleston Harbor, Lower Reaches and Wando River, Charleston County, South Carolina. Estimated quantity to be dredged is approximately 1,237,000 total cubic yards. Incremental Funding, EFARS 52.2 32-5004, will be utilized on this contract. Dredge material shall be transported to and dumped within the EPA-Approved Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (OMDS). The work also includes a disposal area report and compliance with the Endangered Species A ct and the Marine Mammals Protection Act. The contractor will commence work within 30 days of Notice to Proceed. Competition for this solicitation is unrestricted. The solicitation is a negotiated procurement utilizing Best Value techniques whereby the Lowest Priced, Technically Acceptable offer will be awarded the contract (see FAR 15.101-2). Past Performance information will determine technical acceptability. The NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $18.5M. Additionally, to be considered a s mall business, the firm must perform at least 40% of the volume of dredging with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. The magnitude of the work is $1M - $5M. Contractor must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor R egistration (CCR) prior to award of this solicitation. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Bidders must register in CCR and on the website below in order to view or download the solicitation documents. It is the responsibility of the bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments.
