Description
SCOPE OF WORK : The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals necessary to perform a professionally conducted Class III cultural resource inventory and resultant report of the BLM-administered land parcels shown on the attached map. Inventory methods and the final report on this work must meet all current Wyoming BLM and Wyoming SHPO reporting standards, including National Register of Historic Places eligibility evaluations for all cultural properties located. The contractor shall inventory public lands, which have not been previously inventoried within portions of Sections 4 and 10, Township 12 North, Range 117 West, as described below. According to the Bureau's estimate, there are approximately 491 acres of public lands within the proposed project areas to be inventoried. The project area will be staked by the appropriate BLM Fuels/Fire and/or Forestry staff members prior to initiating this inventory. Inventory coverage will consist of standard pedestrian block survey methodology, including transect spacing no more than 100'. The two areas requiring inventory are as follows: Approximately 193 acres of block inventory located within potions of the NE?, E/NW/SE, & E/SE of Sec. 4 (-T12N -R117W). This block area includes the remnants of two (2) previously located historic cabins that will require full documentation and NRHP eligibility assessment. See Figure 1. Approximately 298 acres of block inventory located within potions of the N?, E/NE/SW, & SE? of Sec. 10 (-T12N -R117W). No previously recorded sites are known within this block area. See Figure 1. Prior to performing any field work the vendor shall perform a Class I inventory of the areas which will be encompassed by the Class III inventory. This shall include, but not be limited to, an examination of the records housed at the Wyoming Cultural Records Office (WYCRO) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Kemmerer Field Office. Additionally it may be necessary to access historical documents including County Title records and General Land Office (GLO) plats and surveyors' notes, local history studies and other appropriate literature resources to determine if properties listed in the above records or other historic properties encountered during this inventory are associated with personages or events important in history and/or dates of occupation for historic resources. All work shall be conducted in conformance with the terms of the governing contract. Field work must be initiated on or about July 1, 2006 and all field investigation must be completed prior to September 30, 2006. A final report on this work must be submitted to the BLM Kemmerer Field Office by November 30, 2006. Product Service Code: B503 NAICS Code: 541620
