Description

A/E -Geotechnical Engineering Services Sources Sought Solicitation Geotechnical Engineering and Survey Services All work is directly related to prior Coal Mining Operations and located in the states of Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee, Rhode Island and Georgia. The Geotechnical Engineering Services are related to 1) Mine Subsidence, 2) Mine and Refuse Fire, 3) Hazardous Mine Entries, i.e., shafts, slopes, adits or any other portals, 4) Mine Gas, 5) Acid MineDrainage/Blowouts and 6) Landslides, unstable refuse banks, and other soil and rock instability problems. Survey Services involve: 1) Cross-Sections, 2) Volumetric Measurement, 3) Site Surveys. Work shall be performed in short time fames as an emergency response to these problems. Geographic proximity to the project sites is a major consideration in the selection process. Interested parties shall request a solicitation proposal package in writing. The credentials and experience in the response to this solicitation will be evaluated and rated for a prequalified source list, with whom exclusive negotiations will be be conducted. It is anticipated that Solicitation No. RFP612029 will be issued on or about April 25, 2006. Geotechnical Services: Submittals will be evaluated and ranked in accordance with the factors listed below, (1) Specialized Experience; (2) Professional Qualifications; (3) Past Performance; (4) Capacity to Accomplish Work; and (5) Faciity location. Surveying Services: (1) Specialized Experience;(2) Professional Qualifictions; (3) Past performance: (4)Facility Location and (5) Capacity to Accomplish Work B. All submissions should identify whether they are responding to (A) Geotechnical Support, (B) Survey Services or (C) Both Geotehcnical support and Survey Services.
