Description
The U.S. Geological Survey, Geographic Information Office has a requirement to acquire imagery for the Denver Metropolitan Area covering a geographic extent of approximately one hundred 7.5-minute USGS Topographic quadrangles (approximately 5,925 square miles). This project is in connection with the Denver Regional Council of Governments Aerial Photography Project (DRAPP) Digital Ortho contract award. The area comprises in total the geographic area of interest identified by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to the USGS for Homeland Security data development and support activities. The NGA has agreed to share this data with USGS at approximately 1/6th of the total cost which is a substantial cost savings to the government. The orthorectified digital imagery requirements include the following: Cover identified area in the attached footprint; True one foot Ground Sample Distance; a Public Domain 2-foot GSD derivative product; True color; Airborne GPS; NAD 83 Datum; UTM Zone 13 North Projection; Tiff (version 5.0) with associated world file format: USGS High resolution DOQ requirement. Imagery will be collected during the spring and summer of 2006 and shall be delivered within sixty (60) days from the DRCOG delivery date. The U.S. Geological Survey considers this specified requirement as a sole source to Denver Regional Council of Government, 4500 Cherry Creek Drive, Denver, CO 80246. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these services at the same cost may submit a capabilities statement to the contracting officer USGS, PO Box 25046 Denver Federal Center, Denver, CO 8025-0046 no later than the closing date of this requirement (04/24/2006) 4:00 PM MST. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist; if no submissions are receivced by the above appointed time, the Government will proceed with noncompetitive award without further notice. This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ); the Government does not anticipate issuing a written solicitation. This notice and any resulting contract or order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-04, effective 08 June 2005. No number notes apply.
