- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, FL 32407 intends to award a Sole Source purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures to Macrolink, Inc., 1500 N. Kellogg Dr, Anaheim, CA 92807 for the following items: Twenty-eight(28) each MVC/16 16 port asynchronous 6U VMEbus serial communications Controllers with data rates from 38.4Kbps- P/N 221200-56 and two (2) each MVCS/16 Sierra 16-port asynchronous 6U VMEbus serial communications controllers with data rates up to 1.5Mbps and front panel I/O ? P/N 221048-51. This purchase is unsuitable for full and open competition for the following reasons. The MVC/16 serial I/O card by Macrolink is currently used in the LCAC CAMS chassis. It has gone end-of-life and will no longer be produced by the vendor. The procurement request for 28 units is to stock a spare pool for support until the next generation serial I/O card can be evaluated, tested, and validated as a replacement. The MVCS/16 serial I/O card from Macrolink is one of the several units that will be evaluated as replacements. Currently, Macrolink, Inc is the only vendor of this specific item that meets form, fit, and function requirements. Delivery would be to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer, Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City Beach, FL 32407-7018. NAICS code 334111 applies. FSC is 7042. Size Standard is 750 employees.
