- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, FL 32407 intends to award a Sole Source purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures to Ray Machine, Inc, 3711 N. Hwy 231, Panama City, FL 32404-9745 for ten (10) each RM-AA01 Rack subassemblies. The rack sub assemblies are required to install the Amphibious Assault Direction System (AADS) workstation on ships deploying in 1QTRFY07. This equipment is identical to the equipment that is currently installed in the fleet. Ray Machine is the only manufacturer of this rugged equipment. This specific component has gone through the shock and vibration testing required for certification of its safety for shipboard installation. Purchase of any other manufacturer?s component would require duplication of the shock and vibration testing performed on the Ray Machine rack sub assemblies at a cost estimated to exceed the cost of the rack sub assemblies being procured. Therefore, it is in the Government?s best interest to purchase equipment from Ray Machine. These items will be delivered to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer, Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7018. NAICS code 333518 applies. FSC is 2040. Size Standard is 500 employees.
