- Description
- NAICS Code: 325188 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Radiation and Indoor Air (ORIA), Radiation and Indoor Environments National Laboratory (R&IENL) in Las Vegas, NV intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Analytics, Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)-traceable radiological calibration standards in a variety of geometries and matrices to allow R&IENL to perform required quality assurance and control calibrations on its gamma spectroscopy systems' High Purity Germanium (HPGe) detectors. These standards will be used to calibrate both the fixed laboratory and the Mobile Environmental Radiation Laboratory (MERL) detectors so as to maintain all analytical equipment in ready-status mode. Under this order, Analytics, Inc. will provide 22 types of mixed gamma standards. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325188. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that because of the need for NIST-traceability and the variety of geometries and matrices that need to be customized, Analytics, Inc. is the only known source able to satisfy the Government's requirement. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a capabilities statement, which if received by the response date of this announcement may be considered. Responses to posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions should be directed to Jami Rodgers via the e-mail link below.
