Description
The following work will be performed at the Federal Building and US Courthouse, 100 N.E. Monroe Street, Peoria, Illinois. The renovations must meet ADA requirements in accordance with the drawings and specifications provided. The scope of work consists of, but is not strictly limited to, remove the existing doors, strip the finish, replace the hardware and refinish the 12 exterior entrance doors their frames and grating on the North, West and East entry points of the Peoria federal building. The work will be to strip the existing finish, refinish, and fit for new hardware the bronze cladded doors and frames on the Peoria Federal Building and Courthouse. The frames on the interior and exterior will be stripped and refinished for a uniform appearance. Remove the door leafs at each entrance (exterior only) and prepare for refinishing. Demolish the recessed floor pivot boxes and fill with concrete to prep for new pivots, demolish the vertical latch rods and the panic devices from the doors, and demolish the exterior wall mounted door buzzer from entrance #2. The door leafs shall have the holes braised and ground smooth, polished, and lacquered. Provide new magnetic locks wired to the existing circuitry. Provide new panic hardware and surface closures. The panic hardware will electronically release the new magnetic locks when exiting from inside the building without the use of a card key. All new hardware shall have the same finish as the existing hardware. The door buzzer shall be replaced. Contract completion time is 210 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The estimated start date is 08/18/2006. The proposed procurement is a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns. The NAICS code is 238990, with a size standard of $12 million. The estimated cost range is between $75,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 04/27/2006. This is a negotiated procurement; there will not be a public bid opening. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS). FedTeDS is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. In order to obtain information from FedTeDS, you will first be required to register with CCR (Central Contractor?s Registration) database. You may access CCR at the following URL, www.bpn.gov. Once you register with CCR you will be required to register with FedTeDS. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. You may access FedTeDS via the following URL, www.FedTeDS.gov. Also, beginning January 1, 2005, as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) all vendors will be required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission. You may access ORCA via the following URL, www.orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any to the solicitation.
