- STAGE II SUBMITTALS EVALUATION CRITERIA: RE: SIMILAR PROJECT EXPERIENCE (20%) - Demonstrates sensitivity to local architecture and historic aspects of the adjacent neighborhood and the Missouri River. For the scheduled A/E interview, the A/E needs to be prepared to address any questions regarding the below paragraph. The new courthouse construction project proposed for Jefferson City, Missouri, calls for a new federal facility on a site that currently features numerous historic and/or potentially historic properties. While it is anticipated that the new courthouse will be built on a clear site, the new building will remain in close proximity to adjacent historic structures. Given this context and the significance of neighboring historic properties that will remain, the A/E selected will need to demonstrate 1) expertise as the prime, or through a project team consultant, the ability to successfully integrate new construction within an historic setting; and 2) familiarity with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, in particular the public consultation process.
