- The Federal Correctional Institution of Milan, Michigan is seeking a qualified Contractor to maintain approximately 100 acres of land surrounding a correctional facility. The main emphasis of this contract will be to maintain the vegetation surrounding a Federal Prison at a safe and secure height. This work will consists of mowing several acres of property along with fence rows and ditch bank areas. Additionally, crops may be planted for harvest and sale at market in areas designated. Customarily a fee is paid to the Government in exchange for the harvest of the crops. The resulting contract will include 3 optional periods. "The solicitation will be available on or after INSERT DATE, and will be distributed solely through the General Service's Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition."
