Description: This is a notice that the Government intends to award a sole-source contract to Vaisala, Inc, 194 S Taylor Ave, Louisville, CO 80027-3024. This contract is for service and maintenance support for eight DigiCORAIII Radiosounding Upper Air Systems. V aisala Inc is the only company that can provide the service and maintenance because the hardware, software, and firmware used on the DigiCORAIII Radiosounding Systems are proprietary to Vaisala, Inc. Acquiring the service and maintenance from the original equipment manufacturer is more cost effective and more beneficial to the Government than to acquire similar equipment support from another vendor.
