- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, Bonneville Lock and Dam, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) supply contract to a contractor able to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items n ecessary to perform the fabrication and installation of new Crane Stops, and the modification and re-installation of existing Crane Stops, located at Powerhouse #1, Intake Deck. The location of the new stops will be down-stream North End; up-stream North End; and the South End will be modified. The contractor shall perform to the standards in the contract and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations. The contractor shall be required to perform site clearing, and site preparation (core drilli ng); field measurements will have to be taken on old crane stops, remove from location and modified at shop location. The contractor shall be required to fabricate, according to drawings and specifications two additional sets of stops, prepare site for in stallation, place and install using specifically designed anchor system. The performance period for this contract will be 12 weeks, or sooner, after the contract award date. The administrative/contracting point of contact (POC) Ray R. Greenheck, at (503) 808-4616. The Request for Quote will be issued for the fabrication, modi fication, and installation of the two pair of crane stops. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 332312 with a small business standard size of 500 employees. Please identify your business size in your resp onse based upon this standard. The Request for Quote will be issued and available to download on or about 14 April 2006. The quote will be due on or about 28 April 2006, by 4:00pm (PST). Responses received after that date and time will not be considered . Please be aware that facsimiles will not be accepted. It is the intent of the Government that all prospective quoters be given the opportunity to visit the jobsite for the purpose of acquainting themselves with local conditions and to discuss any quest ions that may arise. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, they must be approved and registered in the Central Contractor Registration, at website www.ccr.gov, before award can be made.
