Description

This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This specification is for Steel Pipes with 3/8" or thicker walls to be used for drainage and water control. The pipes must have a minimum wall thickness of 3/8". See solicitation for size/quantity of the pipes. All pipes furnished can be either salvaged or used natural gasoline pipes. The pipe should have no visible flaws, corrosion, damage or defects. The pipes should have initially met one of the following standards: ASTMA A 134, ASTMA A 139, or ASTMA A 211. The NAICS Code: 331210, Size Standard: 1,000 employees. The pipes must be delivered to the Bald Knob National Wildlife Refuge, Bald Knob, Arkansas. This is a total small business set-aside. A firm fixed price commercial order will be issued. This Request for Quote may be viewed at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The Fish and Wildlife Service is presently using Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue Request for Quotations and Purchase Orders. You must register in EC at web site http://www.ccr.gov. If you have any registration questions, please call 1-888-227-2423. Prior to registering each company must obtain a Dun and Bradstreet Number. You may obtain this number free of charge at 1(866)705-5711. Once you are registered you will be able to view Request for quotes or submit quotes on line at http://ideasec.nbc.gov (the Department of Interior site). For questions at Interior's site, please call the help desk at (703)390-6633. This will be your only means of obtaining the award. All contractors with access to the internet and an e-mail address can receive electronic notifications of award. CAUTION: This solicitation has been issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Thus, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder's mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for quote receipts may render your offer non-responsive and result in the rejection of same. Telephone or email requests will not be accepted. All quotes must be received at this office no later than April 21, 2006, 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
