Description
Contractor is required to pump, haul, and dispose of aerobically digested domestic sludge from wastewater facilities located within the boundaries of Mount Rainier National Park. Location of treatment plants are Tahoma Woods (3 miles east of Elbe), Longmire (19 miles east of Elbe), Paradise (22 miles east of Elbe) on Highway 706, and Ohanapecosh (Approximately 8 miles east of Packwood) off Highway 12 and SR 123. The treatment facilities, which the domestic sludge is hauled from and disposed of, shall be in compliance with all current rules, regulations and codes for treatment of domestic sludge. WAC173-308-295. SLUDGE DISPOSAL RECEIPTS DOCUMENTING GALLONS DISPOSED OF AT THE FACILITY ARE REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED WITH ALL INVOICES AS SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR OUR FILES. Septic tanks to be pumped are located within the boundaries of Mount Rainier National Park. Location of septic tanks on the Northeast side of the park are: (a.) White River (WR) Entrance (5 miles east of Highway 410) (b.) White River Campground (1 mile beyond WR Entrance) (c.) Sunrise (11 miles beyond WR Campground) (d.) Tipsoo Lake (4 miles east of Cayuse Pass on Highway 410) Location of septic tanks on the Northwest side of the park are: (a.) Carbon River Entrance (8 miles east of Wilkeson) (b.) Ipsut Creek Campground (6 miles beyond Carbon River entrance) (c.) Mowich Lake (16 miles east of Wilkeson on SR 165) Location of septic tanks on the West side of the park are: (a.) Sunshine point campground (1 mile east of Nisqually entrance at the end of Hwy 706) (b.) Kautz Creek viewing area (3 miles beyond Sunshine Point) (c.) Cougar Rock Campground (6 miles beyond Sunshine Point) Majority of the sludge pumping is during the late spring, summer and early fall. 48 HOURS Response time is critical for meeting contract requirements. This will be a fixed price contract. Minimum order when being called by the Government will be 500 gallons to be pumped and disposed of. Service Contract Wage rates are required under this contract and are attached. The National Park Service welcomes the participation of small, minority, and women owned enterprises.
