Description
FISC - NNSY Maritime Industrial Branch, Hampton Roads Division proposes to contract for Maintenance of government owned strong tight shipping containers, estimated two (2) each shipping containers per year. Periodic maintenance of estimated ten (10) each government owned Type B shielded shipping containers per year. The services will also include assembly of LPRCTs into government owned shipping containers, estimated ten (10) per year; Rental of estimated (3) trailers per year for shipping container/LPRCT shipment. Maintenance of estimated (1) shipping container transport trailers per year. Transportation for delivery to the delivery site and return from the disposal site of estimated (10) each per year of shipping container/LPRCT. Storage of 12 month per year of government owned shipping containers and transport trailers. The lifting lugs, padeyes, and fasteners of the shipping container and shielded shipping container (including those on primary and secondary lids that are load-bearing parts during a lift), shall be periodically loaded tested (as required by NAVSEA 0989-030-7000) every three (3) years. A Certification of Compliance is required. The strong tight and Type B shielded shipping containers listed above are both cylindrically shaped items with the following dimensions and empty weights; Strong Tight Shipping Container: 90 inches in height and 83 inches in diameter, weight is 38,800 lbs. Type B Shielded Shipping Container: 130 inches in height and 101-1/2 inches in diameter, weight is 55,030 lbs. Delivery will be to various locations within the United States and will be designated on each delivery order issued under the contract. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE A NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) APPROVED QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM to be considered for award of contract. An Indefinite Delivery/Requirements Type contract with firm fixed unit prices is anticipated. The contract will be for a base year with four (4) one (1) year options. All options will be evaluated with the base period. Response date for submission of offers will be established in the written solicitation. Requirement will be handled utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. NAICS Code 811310 applies with a size standard of $6.0 M. Important Notice: DFAR 252.204-7004 REQUIRED CENTRAL REGISTRATION (CCR) applies. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information regarding CCR may be found at www.ccr.gov.
