Description

This modification provides answers to additional questions asked regarding the NYAIC Modernization effort. 1)The specifications state that the subbase fuel tank shall have the same dimensions as the base of the generator. This is a problem because of the running time requested (96 hours). UL listed subbase tanks have maximum height limitations that will be contradictory the gallonage required. Response: Provide a subbase tank for 1200 gallons not exceeding the following dimensions 165 inches X 76 inches X 36 inches 2)I saw the clarification giving the size of the loadbank but there was no detailed specification(i.e. Is the loadbank to be freestanding NEMA 3R or duct mounted within the generator enclosure.) Response: Provide radiator mounted load bank. 3)The drawings indicate the standard automatic transfer switches while the specifications indicate that they are bypass isolation type. Please clarify. Response: Provide standard automatic transfer switch. 4)The specifications call for a hospital grade silencer as well as a weather enclosure. A hospital grade silencer is typically specified when noise is? a concern. In this case providing a hospital grade silencer will not provide any benefit as the engine noise will be louder than that of a critical silencer. Response: Provide critcal grade silencer with 1.5 inches sound attentuation insulation on the weatherproof enclosure. 5. Are there liquidated damages for this contract? Response: There are no liquidated damages.
