- The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Station Support/Simplified Acquisition (SS/SA) Branch on behalf of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Data Related, LLC, 2405 Rising Sun Court, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23454. Period of Performance for this requirement is approximately 7 months. The contractor will operate, maintain, and further develop an existing relational database for the Government?s clinical database. The contractor will perform data generated within three broad categories: 1) clinical data of a sensitive nature that contains personal identifiers; 2) anonymized clinical data; and 3) data generated by molecular methods in the laboratory and development of database as requested by the Government. All data and documents will become the property of the NIH and will remain in the laboratory at contract expiration. Data Related, LLC is uniquely qualified to perform these services based upon their skills in data derived from interview instruments, pedigree data, best-estimate diagnosis, genotype data, and integrating the requested data into formats suitable for analysis. Data Related, LLC is also knowledgeable in updating, cleaning, and reporting of large volume of genetic and clinical data which are required for the NIMH database performance. The acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirement of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
