- The Air Force intends to hold an industry day on 25-26 April 06 for the Space Based Space Surveillance (SBSS) Objective System. The goal of this session is to follow up on the 25-26 January 06 SBSS Objective System Industry Day and to provide prospective contractors with further information related to the acquisition strategy direction for this requirement. The industry day will start at 0800 and take place in the auditorium of building A-8 of the Aerospace Corporation, El Segundo CA. The agenda will include a government program office briefing on the morning of April 25th to provide the latest acquisition strategy direction. Primary topics to be covered are the government intended contracting strategy for Phase A studies and the government?s intention to separate the Phase B development into distinct ground system and sensor/spacecraft system acquisitions. The remaining time in the afternoon of April 25th and all day on April 26th will be set aside for one-on-one discussions with interested contractors. Each one-on-one session will be limited to fifteen minutes. Additionally, the government will provide the FOUO version of the Bidder?s Library to interested parties via CD at this session. The government briefing will take place at the secret collateral level; as such, please fax clearances to SMC/SY Security, 335 E.
