- Contractor is to provide fresh fruits and vegetables (FF&V) to various commissaries located in Area 4 of the Defense Commissary Agency's West Region. For the purposes of this solicitation, the commissaries are grouped geographically within Area 4. Area 4 includes 14 stores that are geographically clustered into two groups. Area 4, Group 1 includes the following 9 locations: Bangor NSB, WA; Bremerton NS, WA; Fairchild AFB, WA; Fort Lewis Army Installation, WA; Malmstrom AFB, MT; McChord AFB, WA; Mountain Home AFB, ID; Smokey Point, WA; Whidbey Island, WA. Area 4, Group 2 includes the following 5 locations: Anchorage/Elmendorf AFB, AK; Eielson AFB, AK; Fort Greely, AK; Fort Wainwright, AK; Kodiak, AK (supported by Anchorage/Elmendorf AFB). A single solicitation containing the two geographical groupings will be issued. Each group will be independently evaluated and awarded on an "all or none" basis. The Government will award one or more contracts resulting from this solicitation based on evaluation using the best value, tradeoff procedures. An Indefinite-Delivery Requirements Type contract is contemplated. The base period of performance shall commence approximately 30 days after notification of contract award (or a date specified by the Contracting Officer) for 24 consecutive months plus two 12-month option periods. The SIC code is 5148 and the NAICS code is 445230 for this requirement with a size standard of 500 employees. The Request for Proposal will be released on or about April 21, 2006. It is anticipated that oral presentations will be required as part of the evaluation process for proposals received under this requirement. This solicitation will be issued as a 100 PERCENT SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
