Description

Manastash Ridge Trail. The Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forest require the construction and re-construction of 8.3 miles of Forest Service recreation trail. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, tools and transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. Typical work includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, trail-way excavation, existing trail restoration, grade dips, switchbacks, removal of large obstructions, and log stringer bridges. The work is located near Cle Elum, Kittitas County, Washington. This project will be advertised as a Request for Quotation. Estimated issue date of the request for quotation is May 15, 2006. Quotations will be due on or about June 13, 2006. NAICS code is 237990 and the Size Standard is $31.0 million. SET--ASIDE: This acquisition is set-aside to Small Business Concerns, except it will be subject to a Cascading Set-Aside Evaluation Procedures. All potential Small Business Concerns may submit a quotation for this acquisition. However, set-aside evaluation procedures will be used in evaluating quotations for an award. Evaluation for award will be conducted in the following set-aside order: 1. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns, 2. All other responsive and responsible Small Business Concerns. In the event two (2) competitive quotations are not received from eligible Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns, or if one quotation is received from a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern and cannot be awarded at a fair market price, the Contracting Officer may evaluate quotations received from other Small Business Concerns. No paper copies of the request for quotation will be issued. An electronic copy of the request for quotation will be posted at this site on the issue date.
