Description
The Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Activity, Augusta, Georgia has a requirement to provide all equipment and supplies necessary for the installation and repair of Wheelchair/ Scooter Lifts and Hitches Service for the beneficiaries of the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 7 Medical Centers located in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. Contractor shall be qualified to perform installation, removal, cleaning, repair and storage of Lifting Devices and/or Mounting Systems. All work shall generally be performed at contractor?s facility; however repairs may be performed at other locations if the Contracting Officer or the Contracting Officer Technical Representative has granted prior approval. Contractor must be accredited by the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) and maintain that accreditation for the life of the contract. Contractor must be certified in the installation of the lifts and/or hitches manufactured under the brand names of Harmar, Bruno, World Wide, Wheelchair Carrier, Inc., and Silverstar. Contractor must be certified by manufacturer to perform services as indicated. Contractor is required to possess all necessary permits and/or licenses required in the performance of these services. This contract includes a base year (one year from date of award), with two one-year renewal option periods that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. The total contract period shall not exceed three years. This solicitation is issued as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12 and shall be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 15. RFQ 247-0266-05 is advertised as a 100% set-aside for small business concerns with a NAICS Code 366399 and a size standard of 750. Only offers from those firms regularly established in the business of providing ambulance service will be considered. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested Offerors may obtain an electronic copy of the solicitation free at the URL address. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments.
