Description

Notice of Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern. (a) The proposed contract is 100% set aside for award to service disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. Offers or quotations from other than service disabled veteran owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. (b) Definitions: As used in this provision: "Service Disabled veteran-owned small business concern" (1) means a small business concern (i) not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service disabled veterans or in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51% of the stock of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans; and (ii) the management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service disabled veterans or, in the case of a veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such veteran. (2) Service disabled veteran means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16). The VAMC Lebanon intends to award a construction contract for a "Veteran's War Memorial". The contractor shall completely prepare site for excavation of the existing area located between Buildings 18 and 106 of the Lebanon VA Medical Center, Lebanon, PA. Contract will include demolition and removal of earth and concrete sidewalks and furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct a new 16' by 24' memorial to include trenching, constructing new sidewalks, stone wall, brick, electrical work, outside lighting and landscaping. All work will be at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon, PA and will be in strict compliance with all applicable codes and VA regulations. This will be a firm fixed price contract. NAICS code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $28.5 Million. Estimated construction cost is $25,000 to $100,000.
