- Sources Sought No. W912HY-06-S-0006 Project Title: Construction of Interpretive Facilities at the Colorado River Locks in Matagorda County, Texas. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District has a requirement for the above subject. This is not a solicitation announcement and not a request for proposal and does not obligate the government to any contract award. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to determine interest and capability of potential federal certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Ve teran or HubZone Small Business Concerns to perform as prime contractors for this project. Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the government to make an appropriate procurement decision. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS ) for this project is 238110. It is requested that you review the scope of work listed. General Description of the Work The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, and equipment to construct concrete sidewalks, concrete foundations for a pavilion and three picnic shelters, erecting and installing the Government-furnished pavilion and shelters, installing security fencing and handrails, and constructing asphalt parking areas. The project site is located between the lock administration buil ding and North Riverside Gate, East Locks. The contractor will be required to work during daylight hours Monday through Friday, Federal Holidays excluded. If you can meet all the requirements for this project please send two complete packages of all info rmation requested to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ATTN: Traci Robicheaux, 2000 Fort Point Road, Galveston, TX 77550, 409-766-6306. The following information is required (1) (a) Name of firm with address, phone number, fax number, and point of contact. (b) Provide a copy of your federal certification if your company is an Emerging Small Business, 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business, Service-Disabled Veteran or HubZone concern. (c) Provide a list of subcontractors you propose to use. List the company nam e, address, federal business size and their specialty. All subcontractors must meet all appropriate licensing requirements as well as certifications. Provide certifications as required for the prime. (d) Indicate your ability to obtain bonding up to $1 00,000.00. (2) (a) Provide the number of years/experience you have in construction of concrete structures, asphalt paving, and general construction work valued less than $100,000 (b) Provide information that you have or have the ability to obtain constru ction and technical equipment for assembling and permanently installing outdoor recreation structures (c) Provide documentation for your firm on past similar work. (3) Contractors submitting responses shall provide their information in a matrix format sh owing contracts they have performed. The matrix shall show the most recent projects done within the past 3 years that prove you can meet each of the required qualifications listed above, with contract number, project location, description of work requirem ents, contact and phone number for each effort, etc. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) prior to award. Information concerning CCR Registration is located at www.ccr.gov. (4) Please indicate if you r firm will submit a quote for this project if this requirement is set aside for Emerging Small Business, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran or HubZone Small Business Concern. Firms responding to this Sources Sought who fail to provide ALL the required inform ation will not be used to help the government make the acquisition decision which is the intent of this Sources Sought.
