Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Afghanistan Engineer District intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for design-build, construct, improve and renovate a variety of facilities for ANA Class II, IV, & VII Logistics Depot located at Northwest side of Kabul International Airport (KIA), Kabul, Afghanistan. The contractor shall perform work consisting of: clear the entire site of mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO), design and construct housing facilities capable of providing berthing for 100 personnel, to include toilets, shower and common rooms; renovate 4 each, rebuild 2 each, and construct 6 each-new 960m2 warehouses, one of them is under full climate control; construct temporary shower/toilet facilities with hot and cold water for the whole compound; construct and improve security fencing walls and guard towers; construct roads and paved areas for access to facilities; le vel, grade, and gravel vehicle yards; design and construct new training facility. Design and Install emergency generators to power all proposed new and renovated facility; renovate existing administration and DFAC buildings. Renovate and build addition al 2 bay vehicle maintenance facility. Design and provide water supply system for all usages included in the scope of work. Design and provide a sewage system adequate to meet all service needs; design and provide storm drainage system for the compound. The award for this procurement will be made in accordance with the applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations. The applicable NAICS code is 236220. The magnitude of this requirement is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. The proposed contract will be awarded using best value evaluation methods. Solicitation Number W917PM-06-R-0026 will be available on or about 01 May 2006.
