- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Afghanistan Engineer District intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for construct, improve, and demolish a variety of facilities for the Air Corps Cantonment I Temporary Housing, Facilities Renovations and Site Clearing project located at south side of Kabul International Airport (KIA), Kabul, Afghanistan. The contractor shall perform work consisting of: (1) clear the entire site of mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO), (2) design and construct two each housing facilities capable of providing billeting for 500 military personnel, officers and enlisted to include utilities, (3) construct temporary shower/toilet facilities with hot and cold water, (4) level, grade, and gra vel vehicle yard, (5) construct security fencing, (6) demolish and remove existing buildings and structures on various locations of the site, and (7) design and construct two one-story modular facilities for office space to include site foundation and pow er for the facilities, (8) design and install emergency generators to power all proposed new and renovated facilities plus existing three maintenance buildings (9) renovate four existing buildings (10) design and construct a five bay vehicle maintenance fa cility (11) design and provide water supply system for all usages included in this scope of work (12) design and provide a sewage system adequate meet the all service needs. The award for this procurement will be made in accordance with the applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations. The applicable NAICS code is 236220. The magnitude of this requirement is $10,000,000.00 to $15,000,000.00. The proposed contract will be awarded using best value evaluation methods. Solicitation Number W917PM-06-R-0027 will be available on or about 07 May 2006.
