Description: The USDA Forest Service, Ottawa National Forest, is advertising for the above project located on Forest Road 6860, approximately 9 miles southeast of the town of Marenisco, in the western upper peninsula of Michigan. Work includes removal of existing CMP culvert pipes, replacement of culverts with CMP, SMPP & CMPA pipes/structures. Restoration of Pigeon Creek and Marsh Creek stream crossings by sloping banks and replacing riprap. The work is expected to begin in July and be completed by September 2006. The estimated price range is $75,000 - $125,000. A bid bond, performance bond, and payment protection is required for offers exceeding $100,000; payment protection only is required for offers less than $100,000. The solicitation will be a request for proposal resulting in a best value award. ORCA certification is required.
