Description
The U.S. Census Bureau intends to procure lodging and meeting space accommodations in the Boston area, preferably Copley Square. Lodging is required for approximately 175 participants for the International Blaise Users Conference (IBUC) for the following dates: September 17, 2007, through September 21, 2007. Most participants will arrive on Sunday, September 16, and depart on Friday, September 21. Provide meeting rooms as follows: Monday, September 16 through Friday, September 21: 1 general session set up classroom style for 175, with head table for 4, and space for screen and audio visual equipment, a breakout room or area for poster display, a breakout room for an internet caf? with 4-6 PCs with internet access. A 24-hour hold is required on all meeting rooms. Provide lunch (in a separate room) and AM and PM refreshment breaks for approximately 175 participants in/near general session for September 17-21, 2007. The accommodations must have the following: Metro accessibility, full service restaurant, audio-visual equipment, shuttle service to and from the airport, and parking at the hotel. The U.S. Census Bureau reserves the right to conduct an on-site inspection of offered facilities. Award will be made on a best value basis in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Lodging rate must be equal to or less than Government per diem rate. All responsible sources that can meet the requirements and provide items as listed above may respond to this solicitation by submitting cost and technical proposal, hotel contract, and descriptive literature to Lisa Safewright via email to lisa.r.safewright@census.gov or fax to 301-457-8465. No telephone inquiries will be honored. Award will be made by May 15, 2006. Closing date for receipt of proposals is May 1, 2006. The alternate dates for the IBUC Conference are September 24-28, 2007, or September 10-14, 2007.
