- Description
- The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals (OMHA), through the Program Support Center (PSC), has a requirement for a contractor to provide Video Teleconferencing, Audio Conferencing, and Conference Facilities and Support at locations other than OMHA offices for use by appellants, witnesses and other parties to hearings. It is anticipated that this acquisition will be awarded for a period of one year with three ? one year options. The purpose of this contract is to provide a network of facilities that is substantially national in scope including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, equipment, and services on an as needed, pre-scheduled basis. Some or all of the facilities, equipment, and services may be required for any given conference. The requirements of this contract include, but are not limited to: Conference room; Video teleconferencing and audio conferencing equipment, including hybrid video/audio capability and onsite operational support; point to point telecommunications connectivity; multi point telecommunications connectivity; and ISDN/IP conversion. In addition, direct access to a comprehensive listing of facilities and locations (availability of an internet-based capability to search for facilities by proximity to address, city, state, zip code, etc preferred).; real-time telephone and/or on-line facility reservation/scheduling service; information regarding facilities such as availability of parking, public transportation, accommodations for disabled persons, etc. as requested; qualified staff to provide operating support prior to and during video teleconferences and audio conferences; and equipment that can provide ITU H.320 ISDN connectivity with a minimum transmission speed of 384 Kbps is requested. The purpose of this synopsis is to determine whether there are sources with the requisite qualifications to perform the work described above. Any organization capable of performing the work should submit a statement of capabilities with documentation supporting its ability to meet the Governments requirement as described above by 3:00 pm EST, April 25, 2006. No solicitation document is available at this time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
