Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propos als are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. W912CZ-06-T-0018 is being issued as a Request for Quote, which incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05. The asso ciated NAICS code for this acquisition is 339999 small businesses standard size is 750 employees. Line Item 0001: Baler, High Density Vertical Down Stroke: Automatic Baling System to bale recyclable materials including; cardboard, aluminum cans, office pa per and PET plastic bottles. Baler should have a minimum of 20 HP motor with RAM pressure of ~92,360 lbs with 7 cylinder, 3 phase power and dual chain hydraulic bale ejection system. Bales tied with steel or wire banding. The baler should have manual f ront-loading system and 24 rear chute conveyor. Finished bale size should be approximately 30 X 60 and weight 700-1200 lbs for cardboard and produce bales of aluminum of market quality. Bales will be installed in a facility; installation will require bolting the unit to the floor and connecting to 3-phase power. Preference FOB destination: Fort Greely, Alaska 99731.
