- SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the procurement of Advance Technology Services in support of the Department of Navy, other military services and Joint DoD Components, other Federal Departments and agencies, and other organizations in the homeland defense and intelligence communities. The advance technology services will be performed over a number of current and future systems/architectures and for a variety of different sponsors. The types of engineering services to be procured reflect a broad range of engineering disciplines. The planned services include software development; systems engineering/management; program management; installations, operations and maintenance; configuration management; security support; training and procurement support. An "Industry Day" will be held on Tuesday 28 February 2006, at SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston, Building 3112, Quad D, from 09:00 am to 12:00 pm. There is a three (3) person limit per contractor. All prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. A draft Statement of Work is attached. To make the Industry Day as productive as possible, offerors are asked to submit questions via e-mail to the Contract Negotiator at joann.lawless@navy.mil by COB 21 February 2006. Each contractor must submit a list of attendees electronically to the Contract Negotiator at joann.lawless@navy.mil NLT COB 23 February 2006 You must have your name submitted in order to gain access. The Government anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee/Firm-Fixed Price, Performance-Based type contract for the procurement of Advance Technology Services. This procurement will be conducted under full and open competition on an unrestricted basis. The estimated release date for the formal RFP is on or about 13 March 2006. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments. No paper distribution of these documents will be provided.
