Description
CONTACT Point of Contact  Andrew C. Flora; 732-532-2544. Bracket and Alignment (B&A) Procedure on OR-336/A Cooler-Dewar Group(s). This is a market survey to locate other qualified sources to perform B&A procedures on OR-336/A Cooler-Dewar Groups(s), NSN 5855-01-293-1592, that will be supplied as Government-Furnished-Material on a planned follow-on, long term contract for this B&A. The OR-336/A is a unique First Generation Forward Looking Infrared Device. The B&A procedure involves the installation of a bracket, and an alignment with respect to that bracket that assures that the OR-336/A is properly bore-sighted when installed in the end item system. The Government only possesses the Top Assembly Drawing and Military Specification for the OR-336/A. Pre sently, the Government recognizes two qualified sources that rely upon proprietary data/procedures to perform this B&A. Since the Government does not possess data describing the requirements, procedures, fixtures, or equipment for this procedure, it is not capable of assisting prospective contractors in developing this capability. These procedures are critically required, and impose production demands requiring immediate delivery capability at rates ranging from 60 to 80 B&A procedures per month. Intereste d sources must send the following NLT 01 MAY 06, to C-E LCMC IEW/S Directorate, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-N-TI (Gen K. Yuen), Building 1201, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. Requests for additional information must be received no later than May 1, 2006. Sufficient i nformation providing (1) experience in aligning this particular Cooler-Dewar, (2) proof it possesses adequate production plant facilities (specialized equipment, tooling, and space) to produce and deliver the aligned products IAW specified requirements, an d (3) for non-proven sources, one sample unit with test data and a DCMA certification indicating that the unit was manufactured at the offerors facility; the Government reserves the right to subject this sample unit to additional testing in end item syste ms or hot mock ups. Identification of the contractor as a Large or a Small Business. If a Small Business, please identify as an 8(a), HUBZone, Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, or non-disadvantaged. Past Performance for this or similar items. The contractor sh all submit their part numbers, NSNs, or nomenclature and the date of the last manufacturing effort of the same or similar items for which they have production experience. Government contract numbers, if applicable, shall be provided. The contractor shall cite the quality standard (Government or Industry) presently in place for this effort.
