Description
On or about 9 May 2006, this office will issue Request for Proposals for construction of the BARRACKS COMPLEX  OCONNELL BLVD, PN 31469, FORT CARSON, COLORADO. The solicitation will close on or about 13 June 2006. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED, Open To Both Large And Small Business Participation. SITE VISIT: A tentative site visit date has been scheduled for 23 May 2006. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information (meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements). NAICS CODE: The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 236220. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $31 Million Dollars. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a Fully-Designed Project. The work consists of construction of new unaccompanied enlisted personnel Barracks building with Approx. 61,355 Gross SF, a Company Operations building with Approx. 58,120 Gross SF, a multi-purpose a thletic court, vehicular drives and parking, landscaping, and all utilities to support the buildings. Technical acceptability and lowest price will be the determining factors for award. Technically acceptability factors include: Construction Experience, Construction Personnel Experience, Past Performance Construction, Mechanical and Electrical Subcontractor Qualifications and Utilization of Small Business Concerns. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $20,000,000 and $25,000,000. Solicitation documents will be posted on Federal Technical Data Solutions or FedTeDS. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information. When solicitation documents have been issued and posted to FedTeDs, synopsis or pre-solicitation notice will be amended and a link provided to access FedTeDS in note 2 below. The pr ocess to download from FedTeDS is: 1. Find solicitation announcement in Fed Biz Ops at: www.fbo.gov 2. Once you open the solicitation announcement on Fed Biz Ops, there will be a link provided to the solicitation on FedTeDS. Click on the link. 3.
