Description
In response to your questions regarding the RFQ for MRO services only, consider these the clarifications to the issues raised: 1. Attachment 1, C.3.C. ? The MRO shall provide a specimen statistical adjudication summary report by the fifth of each month?and the costs incurred: Question: This appears to be a re-cap of all testing during the prior period. Is this separate from the invoice? If not the invoice, what would constitute costs incurred? Answer: The specimen adjudication statistical summary may be the same as the invoice without invoice financials being included as long as the BEP receives the specific information stated in the SOW. 2. Attachment 1, C.4. (7) ? Electronic Transmission- Question: Does this refer to fax, web or e-mail? How does the Bureau currently receive reporting of results? Answer: FAX. BEP has secure fax capability at both locations and will continue to receive results via fax. 3. Amendment 2- 14.2- Meetings- Question: Meetings are requested each week for the first two months of the contract, and monthly thereafter. Is the MRO Doctor always present, or can the lead MRO assistant be present when the MRO Doctor?s presence is not required? Can these meetings be telephonic? If so, how many times in the past is the MRO Doctor present at the meetings? Answer: The MRO need not be present for every meeting. The MRO?s assistant or key staff is acceptable. Teleconferences will be the normal meeting format. Historically, face-to-face meetings in conjunction with site inspection with the MRO have been held annually at the MRO?s site. 4. Can you give us the quantity of positive tests reported in 2005 or the percentage? Answer: Less than 0ne (1) percent. 5. How does the MRO currently receive the MRO copy of the chain of custody? Is it faxed or mailed or both? Answer: Collectors for both facilities immediately fax the MRO a copy of the CCF, and then mail copies to the MRO. 6. What other credentials must be sent besides certification and license? Answer: Section C.3D.(5) requires that malpractice insurance, MRO-related coursework, and curriculum vitae be made available to the BEP at all times. 7. Travel expenses? Answer: Do not include in your bid. If incurred for expert witness testimony, travel expenses will be reimbursed per federal government rates. 8. Witness testimony? Answer Specify hourly rates for expert witness testimony on an as-needed basis.
