Description
General Services Administration (GSA) will be soliciting proposals from contractors to perform Replacement of Ceiling and Light Fixtures, at the Dayton Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, 200 W. Second St., Dayton, Ohio. The scope of the project is to replace the suspended ceiling/lighting system throughout the facility. The suspended ceiling tile and grid /lighting/and HVAC diffusers will be replaced with a completely new 2ftX2ft grid suspended ceiling system. The corridors and elevator lobbies are included, and will have specialty ceilings/lighting installed. Note: There are several areas recently remodeled that will not be included in this work and are shown on the drawings as NIC. The project also includes the replacement of HVAC system perimeter VAV reheat coils on all floors of the building. The HVAC fiberboard branch distribution ductwork over existing linear diffusers in all office areas will be completely replaced with ducted supply and new ceiling diffusers. The work will include incidental sprinkler system modification to correct minor coverage shortfalls and coordinate with architectural layout of new ceiling grids. The work will also include incidental painting at the new work areas as necessary to provide a completed look. All corridors and lobbies will be fully painted as shown on drawings. The project will require construction to be accomplished in a fully occupied facility with minimal swing space. Daily clean-up, protection of tenant furniture, as well as phased construction, are critical to work under this contract. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAIC) code is 236220. The size standard is $31.0 million. The estimate range of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation will be posted on or about May 4, 2006. Proposals are due to the office of the Contracting Officer, 85 Marconi Blvd., Rm. 121, Columbus, OH, 43215 on or about June 5, 2006 at 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. This is a Firm Fixed Price contract. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS). FedTeDS is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. It is fully integrated with other electronic government initiatives such as FedBizOpps and the Central Contract Registration (CCR) database, and is available for use by all Federal agencies. In order to obtain information from FedTeDS, you will first be required to register with CCR. The Central Contractor Registration database is a part of the Business Partner Network, an e-Gov initiative, and will be used to validate vendor identity. All government contractors must be registered in CCR prior to receiving an award. You may access CCR at the following URL www.bpn.gov. Once you have registered with CCR you will be required to register with FedTeDS. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. You may access FedTeDS via the following URL https://www.FedTeDS.gov. You will then be required to access the vendor registration form by selecting the hyperlink entitled Register with FedTeDS and then choosing the Vendor Registration Form hyperlink. At a minimum all vendors must supply the following information: Your Company's Central Contractor Registration (CCR), Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) (You can get this from your Company's, CCR Point of Contact), your Company's DUNS Number or CAGE Code (Contact Dun & Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505 if you do not have a D&B Number), your telephone number, and your e-mail address. Any questions regarding this notification should be directed to the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist whose name appears herein. Bid and performance bonds will be required. All responsive offers from responsible offerors will be considered. Small Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, HUB-Zone, Veteran Owned, and Disabled Veterans Owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
